he San Francisco nightclub near Fisherman's Wharf, where a 19-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday morning has been shut down by the city. A San Francisco police spokesman tells KCBS it wasn't a department decision, but confirmed that the Suede Nightclub and Lounge on Bay Street is shuttered. An armed security guard who serves as a member of the San Francisco Special Patrol fired the shot that killed Hall, police said. [1]
Lawon Hall, 19, of Richmond died of gunshot wounds suffered outside Suede at 383 Bay St. near Mason Street around 1:45 a.m. Sunday, police said. The incident started when an argument inside the club spilled onto the street, said San Francisco police Sgt. Wilfred Williams. Two of the victims are undergoing treatment for life-threatening injuries, and three others, including the gunman, are being treated for wounds that are not life-threatening, Williams said. [3]
