Earlier this month we had to pleasure of trying variety of tasty dishes at Posta Ital Bar Restaurant on Lakeshore Blvd E, Mississauga. A beautiful spot in Port Credit overlooking the waters. If you have the opportunity we’d recommend getting a seat near the windows where you can get a really nice view.
Posta Ital Bar is known for their high-end wine and amazing Italian cuisine. You’ll find fresh Pizza, pasta, delicious wine and even items to order if you’re not dining in.
The restaurant is perfect for celebration or catching up with colleagues/friends. The décor in the venue is elegant and gives a cozy atmosphere. The location definitely helps add to the experience.
There were a number of dishes we were able to try at this tasting and each were uniquely delicious in its own way.
We started with appetizers such as the Barbabietole salad. Fresh ingredients like organic beets, whipped ricotta, pistachio, wildflower honey, and sledgers beet seedlings. The combination with balsamic gave it a fresh burst you look for in a salad.
I truly liked the Zucchini Fritti – Fried zucchini with balsamic vinaigrette. This is a perfect alternative to fries or anything with potato. Save yourself from indulging any carbs with the same great taste. Although this is just an appetizer it is big enough to share between two people and still feel full.
The main course included their iconic La Perla, a 3D Pizza. Fully vegetarian with ingredients like cherry tomatoes, arugula, pepperoncino (spicy peppers), mushrooms, and to top it off Burrata (fresh Italian cow milk cheese). It comes out displayed as a creative sea shell before they spread the cheese evenly and close it off. I love the taste and how healthy it is.
The 3D Pizza is not the only main attraction at the restaurant.
Do you love cheese?
If you do you’ll enjoy their Posta Parmigiano Wheel, it’s a giant wheel of cheese lit on fire and pre-cooked pasta is stirred into it. The result is the perfect amount of cheese mixed with the pasta before arriving at your plate. Take a look at the presentation:
To top it off for dessert we had the Nutella Pizza.
What more do I have to say?
What we have here is Strawberries, icing sugar and good old Nutella filling. There is a generous amount of Nutella in this so it’s not dry at all. I enjoyed the creamy texture. This is definitely recommend for two or more people otherwise you won’t be able to fnish it.
Enjoy it with a glass of wine, especially on Wednesdays because bottles are 50% off.
Our overall experience at this restaurant was amazing. Close to anyone living on the west end and easy to get to. The atmosphere is relaxing and perfect. Sometimes you’ll find free parking in the area.
