When I needed a shoulder to lean on, thank you for being there. When I needed someone who was willing to sit there and patiently listen to my problems, thank you for being the one. Love, I just want you to know how happy I am to be with you. I don’t know what I would do without you in my life … I certainly would not be the person I am today. I don’t think you realize this, but you have changed my life in more ways than one and I thank you for that.
From you, I have learned that if you have love in your life, it can make up for many great things that you are lacking. If you don’t have it, no matter what else there is, it isn’t enough. You will sit at your home, feeling lonely, even when you have friends to hang out with, you will still feel lonely. Without love, I’m not sure how people are able to truly more forward. Before I had love, I always felt that I was missing something, like a part of me was gone …and now I know what it was – it was … it was you.
I am who I am because of you and there is no want else I want to be. You have reached out to me and taught me so much about this world – a world that was once troubled to me now makes me feel happy to be alive. Yes, there are times where darkness creeps into my world and during those times, you are there to turn the light back on and bring me back to life.
Love is the day in and day out chronicle of irritations, compromises, problems, big victories and working toward common goals. It is content with the present and it doesn’t hold the past against us.
I never ever thought I would meet someone like you and yet, here you are, the one person I know I can always count on. I realize that fate has her own reasons for us to meet and come this far, but I hope our love will continue to grow, even beyond the depth it is currently at.
The real reason I am writing this letter is to tell you that my love for you is 100% real and there are no right words that I could use in order to describe my feelings for you. At the same time, I would like to say “thank you” for the patience you have given me throughout our relationship, even when the rocks were hard. Today, my love for you is so strong that I could never imagine living life without you now.
I will always be yours, no matter what type of challenges come at us – together, we will get through them.
