Do you remember the first moment we saw each other across the room? During that moment, I knew, from the bottom of my heart, that you were my destiny. There was just something about the way your face glowed during this time – something that really made you stand out from the crowd. No man, believe it or not, has ever captured my attention the way you do. You make my heart skip a beat every time you touch me and even on a hot, summer day when it is 90 degrees outside, you send chills down my back. When you smile, you light up the entire room and your laughter, well, that is delightfully contagious. When you are around me, you warm my heart and soul. There is no doubt that you are the man for me.
I want to thank you for falling in love with me and making me who I am today.
I have some questions …
Do you know what it’s like to listen to beautiful song birds sing beautiful music and yet, hear no sound? Do you know what it’s like to stare up at the clear night sky, and yet, see no stars? Do you know what it’s like to know you have a heart inside of you, and yet, you don’t feel a beat? Do you know what it’s like to be in a crowd of people laughing and smiling together, and yet, at the same time, feel alone? Well, that is how I feel when you’re not around. My heart is continuously crying out for your name.
All I want to do is pull you close and hold you in my arms. All I desire to do is kiss your lips. Your absence brings out sadness and frustration. Do you know what I do during these times? I sit there and stare at your picture – I dream of you – I write you these letters – I go back and remember all of those fun night we had together and I live, knowing that soon, in only a matter of time, we will get to see each other again.
Yes, I have friends and I care about them, but they’re not able to comfort my soul the way you do – there’s just something special about the way you are able to do it.
